PARENTAL, ADOPTION OR CHILD CARE LEAVE. 1. Leave of absence of up to twelve (12) months without pay shall be granted to an employee for pregnancy (other than that covered by sick leave), adoption or child care upon written request by the employee. Request is discretionary with the employee. Such leave will not extend into the following school year.
