Participation of third countries. The Parties share the goal of maximising the benefits of this Agreement by possible participation of third countries in the cooperation under this Agreement. To this end the Joint Committee, established pursuant to Article 11, may consider, as appropriate, the conditions and procedures for such participation, which may include any necessary amendments to this Agreement.
Participation of third countries. The agency shall be open to the participation of third countries which have concluded agreements with the European Community which provide for the adoption and application by these countries of Community law in the area covered by the basic act. Under these agreements, arrangements shall be made specifying, in particular, the nature and the manner in which these countries will participate in the agency’s work, including provisions on participation in certain internal bodies, financial contributions and employment of staff. These agreements may not, however, make provision for these countries to be represented on the administrative board with the right to vote and must, at all events, be in accordance with the Staff Regulations of officials of the European Communities and the Conditions of employment of other servants of the European Communities.
