Partnership for Excellence in Supplier Development. (PESD) The overall project objective is to: • Strengthen Corporate supplier diversity practices; • Increase procurement transactions between Black-owned businesses and Corporate South Africa; • Improve the performance of Black-owned SME suppliers, enhancing their capacity to compete in an increasingly competitive global environment; and • Improved working conditions of SME suppliers. SASDC will partner with five (5) private sector corporations operating in South Africa and Corporate Members of the SASDC. By nature of the SASDC Corporate Membership, these companies will have demonstrated leadership and commitment to employing inclusive business practices. For the pilot cluster, we will be prioritising companies in or directly related to mining and extractive industries. Each corporate will select 15 Black-owned SME suppliers to participate in the PESD programme: Three (3) suppliers for the high intensity Comprehensive Supplier Development Track (CSDT) and 12 for the low- to medium- intensity expanded Essential Supplier Development Track (ESDT). The selected SME participants will be certified suppliers, which mean they will have undergone, or will undergo the SASDC’s rigorous vetting process. By nature of the SASDC certification, SME suppliers will be 51% or more Black-owned, - controlled and -managed. They will also be current suppliers of the respective corporate, selected as an outcome of the Spend Gap Analysis activity in Phase 2 of the programme. Lastly, the PESD Programme will utilise the technology solutions and training expertise of various implementation partners on an as-needed basis. The implementation partners will be appointed as an outcome of the SME Supplier Gap Analysis conducted in Phase 5, or month 10, of the Programme. The majority of the appointed implementation partners will also be certified SASDC suppliers. The cost of this initiative will be R56 million and funded through the corporate ESD funding towards B-BBEE Enterprise Development and Supplier Development elements of the scorecard (1% and 2% of NPAT).   • Career Development Leave (a) Career development refers to an activity which, in the opinion of the Employer, is likely to be of assistance to the individual in furthering his or her career development and to the organization in achieving its goals.   • Red Hat Enterprise Linux Developer Suite Red Hat Enterprise Linux Developer Suite provides an open source development environment that consists of Red Hat Enterprise Linux with built-in development tools, certain Red Hat Enterprise Linux Add-Ons, Red Hat Enterprise Linux for Real Time, Smart Management and access to Software Maintenance, but no Development or Production Support. If you use any of the Subscription Services or Software associated with Red Hat Enterprise Linux Developer Suite for Production Purposes, or use the Red Hat Enterprise Linux Software Subscription entitlement independently, you agree to purchase the applicable number of Units of the applicable Software Subscription. Red Hat does not provide Production Support or Development Support for Red Hat Enterprise Developer Suite.

  • Independent Contractor; No Partnership; No Agency; No Utility Services 15.1 Company and Developer shall be independent contractors. This Agreement shall not be interpreted or construed to create an association, joint venture, agency relationship, or partnership between the Parties or to impose any partnership obligation or partnership liability upon any Party. No Party shall have any right, power or authority to enter into any agreement or undertaking for, or act on behalf of, or to act as or be an agent or representative of, or to otherwise bind, the other Party. This Agreement is not an agreement to provide or take utility services of any kind, including, without limitation, interconnection or other electric transmission services.

  • Orientation and In-Service Program The Hospital recognizes the need for a Hospital Orientation Program of such duration as it may deem appropriate taking into consideration the needs of the Hospital and the nurses involved.

  • Career Ladder Effective July 1, 2014, TALC and the District agreed to the 11 implementation of a Career Ladder for the advancement of instructional staff on the 12 Performance Salary Schedule. Elements of the Career Ladder are outlined and posted on 13 the District website and include detailed descriptions of Career Ladder levels and the 14 requirements for movement. All instructional staff hired on or after January 8, 2018 will 15 be placed on the Apprentice level of the Career Ladder.

  • TRAINING AND EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT 9.1 The Employer and the Union recognize the value and benefit of education and training designed to enhance an employee’s ability to perform their job duties. Training and employee development opportunities will be provided to employees in accordance with college/district policies and available resources.
