Pay Administration on Promotion. 19.1.1 Promotion occurs when the incumbent of a classified position in the regular service is assigned to another position with a higher maximum salary than that of his or her former position. An employee who is promoted shall receive a promotional increase of at least three Memorandum of Understanding between and percent (3%); however, in no case shall the resulting salary be less than the minimum or greater than the maximum of the classification of the position to which he or she is assigned.
