Common use of PAY FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION Clause in Contracts

PAY FOR CONTINUING EDUCATION. Paramedics shall be entitled to premium overtime compensation as defined in Section 1102 for off duty time spent earning Continuing Education Units (CEU), provided that in no case shall the total number of paid overtime hours exceed the number of CEU hours required for relicensing by the State of California and accreditation by the County of Ventura. Paramedics shall complete one- quarter (1/4) of the required two-year CEUs every six months unless exempted by the Fire Chief.
