Common use of PAY WEEK Clause in Contracts

PAY WEEK. The pay week shall commence at 12:01 a.m. Sundays and end at midnight Saturdays. Wages shall be paid weekly by Cheques or direct deposit to the employee’s bank account by noon Friday, and no more than one (1) week’s wages may be withheld at any time. This direct deposit option is voluntary to the employee and employer. Running totals on Gross Wages, CPP, Income Tax, Employment Income contributions shall be reported on the pay stubs. When a holiday falls on a pay day these days shall be moved ahead by one (1) day. Each Employee shall be given a detailed record of his earnings all in accordance with Federal and Provincial regulations.
