Common use of Payment for part of a week Clause in Contracts

Payment for part of a week. 73.5.1 Where an employee is totally incapacitated or partially incapacitated for part of a week, such an employee shall receive pro rata accident pay for that part of the week. That is, the employee shall be paid their ordinary pay, for that part of the week in which he/she worked or was on paid leave. For the part of the week that he/she is incapacitated or partially incapacitated, the employee shall be paid an amount equal to the difference between the amount he/she would have earned for the part of the week if he/she had been performing their normal duties and the amount of compensation paid to the employee under the Act for the part of the week he/she was incapacitated.
