Common use of Payment of a Living Wage Clause in Contracts

Payment of a Living Wage. In accordance with King County Living Wage Ordinance 17909, for contracts for services with an initial or amended value of $100,000 or more, the Contractor shall pay, and require all Subcontractors to pay, a living wage to employees for each hour the employee performs a Measurable Amount of Work on this Contract. Violations of this requirement may result in disqualification of the Contractor from bidding on or being awarded a County contract for up to two years; contractual remedies including, but not limited to, liquidated damages and/or termination of the Contract; remedial action as set forth in public rule; and other civil remedies and sanctions allowed by law.
