Payroll Deduction and Association Dues. In accordance with the rules and regulations of the Auditor/Controller, approved by the Board of Supervisors, it is agreed that Association dues and such other deductions as may be properly requested and lawfully permitted shall be deducted by County from the salary of each employee covered hereby who files with the County a written authorization requesting that such deductions be made. Remittance of the aggregate amount of all dues and other proper deductions made from the salaries of employees covered hereunder shall be made to the Association by the County. It is not the intent of this Article to alter the current practice of remitting dues and other deductions to the Association as soon as possible after they have been withheld from salaries of employees. The County will distribute to each new employee entering the unit the following written information: "The District Attorney Investigators Association, under the provisions of the San Diego County Labor Relations Ordinance, has been declared the bargaining representative for your job classification concerning wages, hours and working conditions that result from meeting and conferring in good faith between the County and the Association. These wages and benefits are contained in the mutual agreement, copies of which will be made available to you by the Association. An Association representative, during non-duty hours may request to meet with you personally to tell you about the Association in its role as the recognized certified representative for your job classification. On the basis of the evaluations you make, the decision is yours."
