Common use of Penalty Meal Hours Clause in Contracts

Penalty Meal Hours. a) Where an Officer works from an off-watch period into an on-watch period, he shall be given one-half (½) hour in which to eat immediately following completion of the work. Where an Officer does not receive one-half (½) hour in which to eat, he shall be credited with an additional one-half (½) hour at the overtime rate as a penalty thereof.
