Hearing Protection. On vessels where there exists steady state and impact noise considered excessive, Officers shall be provided with adequate hearing protective devices. The noise exposure levels and standards of protective equipment shall be as provided for in the Transport Canada Coast Guard Standards Respecting Noise Control and Hearing Protection in Canadian Towboats over fifteen (15) Tons, Gross Tonnage, subject to the Marine Occupational Safety and Health Regulations.
Hearing Protection. Hearing protection devices that reduce noise exposure below 90 dba shall be worn in all posted high noise areas, when performing work that generates noise above 90 dba, or when required by CCI Management.
Hearing Protection. The department will pay for laundering and maintaining agency purchased coveralls, logging pants and shop coats as needed. The Employer will assign vehicles to field employees in accordance with State, agency policies and procedures for work related travel exclusively. Employer assigned vehicles will be suitably equipped for the expected duties as determined by the Employer. Usage of assigned vehicles that is inconsistent with OFM regulations, agency policies or procedures is subject to disciplinary action and loss of assigned vehicle. Field employees with permanently assigned vehicles will be permitted to park the vehicle at their home provided the necessary documentation has been reviewed and approved by the Employer and in accordance with OFM regulations. The Employer will discuss with the Union prior to any changes to previously justified vehicles. The Union may request to bargain the impacts of such changes.

Hearing Protection. The employer shall provide combined hearing protection / communications systems on all new Fire Apparatus, Dozer Transports, and CCV’s. The system shall be provided for each vehicle consistent with the number of standard seat belts in the vehicle (CCV Cab only) Radio communications abilities shall be available in the driver seat of all vehicles and also the right front seat on all fire engines. The communications system will also interface with the public (AM/FM etc.) radio system.
Hearing Protection. Work areas shall be monitored to identify areas of high noise exposure (85 dBA and higher). All work areas identified as high noise exposure shall be properly posted to warn employees of the exposure. Appropriate hearing protection shall be worn in work areas where noise levels are 85 dBA or greater. Respiratory Protection Contractors whose work activities warrants that employees wear respiratory protection, shall establish and implement a respiratory protection program. The program shall meet the requirements set forth in 29 CFR 1926.134.
Hearing Protection. Where the employee is working in noisy conditions the relevant health and safety requirements for hearing protection will be applied, including the supply by the employer of ear-plugs and ear-muffs as required.
