Pension Benefit at Termination. If you terminate employment prior to April 1, 2003 and if it is before you have completed two (2) years of plan membership, you will receive a refund of your contributions with credited interest (less tax). Under the new retirement plan, you will become vested in the Company's contributions immediately. When you terminate employment you will be entitled to your contributions and the Company's contributions made on your behalf, accumulated with credited interest. If you terminate employment, all contributions made prior to April 1, 2003 will still be locked in. You may elect to transfer the contributions to another registered pension plan or to an RRSP locked-in to provide a life annuity or to leave the contributions on deposit in the pension fund in order to purchase an annuity at retirement. If you terminate employment, all contributions made from April 1, 2003 will not be locked in. You may elect to take the contributions in cash (less tax), transfer the contributions to another RRSP, purchase a deferred life annuity or leave the contributions on deposit in the pension fund in order to purchase an annuity at retirement.

  • Pension Benefits Each party reserves the right to retain as his or her sole and absolute separate property, the entire interest in pension benefits now vested, or that become vested in the future, and the right to manage, control, transfer, and convey all such property and dispose of the same by will, beneficiary designation or otherwise, without any interference from the other. The parties acknowledge that this Agreement shall constitute an effective waiver of any rights in the other's pension benefit plans. Furthermore, each party agrees to execute whatever additional waiver document may be necessary or useful to confirm such waiver of rights to the other party's pension benefit plans.
