Common use of Personal Accident Insurance Clause in Contracts

Personal Accident Insurance. (1) A staff member shall be insured for a sum of $200,000 if he dies or is totally and permanently disabled whether or not as a result of injuries arising out of and in the course of his employment. However, death or bodily injury arising directly or indirectly from the following shall be excluded - (a) Active service in any of the armed forces of any nation. (b) Injuries intentionally inflicted on oneself. (c) Suicide or attempted suicide.
