Personal Freedom. 20.1 The personal life of an Employee is not an appropriate concern for the attention of the Board except as it may directly inhibit the Employee from performing properly his/her assigned functions during the workday.
Personal Freedom. 1. The personal life of a faculty member is not an appropriate concern of the District for the purposes of evaluation or disciplinary action unless it prevents the faculty member from performing his/her assigned duties or it calls for discipline under the provisions of the Education Code.
2. A faculty member shall be entitled to the full rights of citizenship and no religious or political activities, or lack thereof, of any unit member shall be used for purposes of disciplinary action.
Personal Freedom. A. The Board and the Association agree that the private and personal life of an employee is not within the appropriate concern or attention of the Board, except as it may interfere with the employee’s responsibilities to and relationship with students and/or the school system.
B. The Board and the Association agree that employees will be entitled to full rights of citizenship, and no religious or political activities of any employee outside of school, or the lack thereof, will be grounds for any disciplinary action or discrimination with respect to the employment of such employee, providing they do not violate the Constitution of the State of New Jersey and the Statutes of the State of New Jersey.
Personal Freedom. Members shall not be hindered or impeded in any way by the Employer or the Union from exercising their legal rights as citizens, nor shall they suffer any penalties because of their exercise of such legal rights. However, when exercising their rights of action and expression as private citizens, individuals shall ensure that any private acts and expressions are not interpreted as representing the position of Trent University.
Personal Freedom. The personal, religious, or political life of an employee is not a matter of appropriate concern of the Board except when such a factor negatively affects the employee's performance or significantly impairs the District's reputation and integrity.

Employees shall be entitled to full rights of citizenship, and no religious or political activities of any employee or the lack thereof shall be grounds for any discipline or discrimination with respect to the professional employment of such employee, providing said activities do not violate any local, state or federal law.
Personal Freedom. 7 The bargaining unit member is entitled to full constitutional rights of citi- 8 zenship, and the bargaining unit member's religious or political activities 10 gaining unit member's professional employment, as long as he/she does 11 not violate any local, State or Federal Law. 12
Personal Freedom. The personal life of an employee is not an appropriate concern of the employer. No negative evaluation of performance or disciplinary action shall be predicated upon lawful, non-school related personal activities which have no impact upon the employee’s effectiveness as an employee.
Personal Freedom. 1. Employees shall not be subject to discipline under the provisions of this Agreement by virtue of their legal exercise of religious or political activities, or the lack thereof.
Personal Freedom. 6.2.1 When an employee speaks or writes as a citizen outside of normal duty hours, he/she shall be free from institutional censorship and discipline. It shall be the responsibility of the employee, in exercising this right, to make it clear that he/she speaks or writes as an individual and not on behalf of the District.
6.2.2 No material covertly gathered by any electronic communications device shall be admissible as evidence in any action against an employee in the performance of his/her assigned responsibilities. There is an understanding that district networks, facilities, grounds and equipment are monitored and that privacy cannot be assured. Information gathered by these means is not defined as covert for purposes of this article.
