Common use of Personal Freedom Clause in Contracts

Personal Freedom. A. The Board and the Association agree that the private and personal life of an employee is not within the appropriate concern or attention of the Board, except as it may interfere with the employee’s responsibilities to and relationship with students and/or the school system. B. The Board and the Association agree that employees will be entitled to full rights of citizenship, and no religious or political activities of any employee outside of school, or the lack thereof, will be grounds for any disciplinary action or discrimination with respect to the employment of such employee, providing they do not violate the Constitution of the State of New Jersey and the Statutes of the State of New Jersey.
