Picking Up Open Vacation Slots. A Flight Attendant who previously designated a vacation period (28 hours) as Float Vacation, or who has sufficient hours to equal a full vacation period, may elect to pick up a vacation slot from monthly open vacation. Requests must be submitted electronically on the appropriate form not later than the fifth (5th) of the month preceding the month containing the open vacation slot.
