Callback from Vacation. (a) Employees who have commenced their annual vacation shall not be called back to work, except in cases of extreme emergency.

Callback from Vacation. An employee called in to work during his/her regularly scheduled vacation period shall be compensated at a rate one and one-half (1-1/2) times his/her regular rate of pay for all time worked. "Regularly scheduled vacation period" means vacation approved at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance.

In the event that an employee is required to be called back to work by the Department for any purpose or is compelled to respond to a work-related subpoena during a period of authorized vacation leave or days off adjacent thereto, where the vacation time has been approved by the Department more than thirty (30) days prior to the callback, the employee shall have the option of receiving his/her regular straight-time pay for the day and a vacation day, or being paid the greater of the minimum call back payment (three hours at time and one-half) or overtime at the double time rate for the actual time worked on the callback.
