Common use of Plain Clothes Attire Clause in Contracts

Plain Clothes Attire. Where a member is assigned to a plain clothes branch, unit or division or any other area as determined by the Chief and is not required to wear a business attire or uniform, generally everyday for work, he/she shall receive an annual clothing allowance of $500.00, payable semi-annually. This amount shall be pro-rated per day worked, paid semi-annually for members not assigned in plain clothes for a full calendar year. Pro-rated payment shall include annual and statutory leave time. For members covered under 14.01 (b), payment shall be paid on the pay closest to 1st January and 1st July in their first year of such duty, and on the closest pay to 1st July and 31st December in each subsequent year.
