Planning Day. Teachers will be provided one full workday for individual planning prior to the start of school. No staff training or staff meetings will take place on this day. Decisions to use this day or any portion of it for team or departmental planning will be made by each individual member.
Planning Day. One day will be provided in the school calendar at, or near, the close of the first semester for a teacher planning day. All teachers and registered nurses will be present on this day with all students excused. The planning day will consist of professional activities mutually agreed upon by the superintendent and the Association. Any one-half day teacher work sessions scheduled will be planned jointly by the Association and the superintendent.
Planning Day. ‌ All paraeducators shall be scheduled and compensated for one planning day per year which shall be scheduled previous to the first day of instruction each year. This day may be included as one of the normal one hundred eighty (180) instructional days; the District may elect to reduce scheduled hours during times when students are not at school up to the number of hours scheduled for this planning day.

The School District will adjust its schedule as necessary to enable Students to enroll in and attend the college- level courses provided by College. The School District and College will coordinate the State Student assessment requirements to ensure said assessments are administered without penalty. The School District, School and College will ensure that the School calendar accounts for the required per-semester contact hours for courses. When the instructional delivery is on the College site, it may be necessary for Students to attend classes on days when the School District is closed (e.g., different holiday closures). When Students take classes at the College scheduled on days when School is closed, the School District will ensure that at least one staff member with administrative authority be on call and available to be reached by the College’s Office of High School Programs or other College staff in case of emergency. The designated School staff member will have access to Student emergency contact information. While the College agrees to make scheduling accommodations for required State assessments, including the STAAR and End of Course Exams, all contact hour requirements must be met. For assessments not mandated by the State, the College and School District will come to a mutual agreement on administration dates in order to appropriately manage disruptions of college courses and ensure contact hour requirements are met.

  • Multi-Year Planning The CAPS will be in a form acceptable to the Funder and may be required to incorporate:

  • Meal Period A Contractor shall schedule an unpaid period of not more than 1/2 hour duration at the work location between the 3rd and 5th hour of the scheduled shift. A Contractor may, for efficiency of operation, establish a schedule which coordinates the meal periods of two or more crafts. If an employee is required to work through the meal period, the employee shall be compensated in a manner established in the applicable Schedule A.
