Common use of PLANT MOVEMENT Clause in Contracts

PLANT MOVEMENT. Except where prohibited by law, or previous Agreement with other Unions, whenever the Company transfers operations or departments from any plant covered by this agreement to a plant which is newly acquired or built by the Company, employees engaged on such operations or employed in such departments may, as they so desire, be transferred to the new plant with their full Company seniority.

PLANT MOVEMENT. Except where prohibited by law, or previous Agreement with other Unions, whenever the Company transfers operations or departments from any plant covered by this agreement Agreement to a another plant which is newly acquired or built by the Company, employees engaged on in such operations or employed in such departments departments, may, as if they so desire, be transferred to the new plant with their full Company seniority, including all the benefits provided in this Agreement.

Except where prohibited by law, or previous Agreement with other Unions, whenever the Company transfers operations or departments from any plant covered by this agreement Agreement to a another plant which is newly owned, acquired or built by the Company, employees engaged on in such operations or employed in any employee laid off as a result of such departments transfer may, as if they so desire, be transferred to the new plant or office with their full Company seniorityseniority including all provided for in that Agreement, provided the plant in question is an Union plant. If any other such plant is established and is not an plant, the members of the plant will be for employment, in such plant, on the basis of qualification.
