Plantation Renewal. Over the final eight months of RVCP implementation, most activities will focus on monitoring new coffee plantations established with Project support using improved varieties resistant to disease, especially to coffee rust disease. Nevertheless, the Project will provide technical assistance to 150 growers to renew plantations on about 20 hectares in the wetter regions of San Marcos and Huehuetenango. Producers will provide in-kind resources to renew their plantations (about GTQ700,000). In addition to making use of the nursery seedlings produced by RVCP growers, technicians will promote renewal processes on 489 hectares. It is worth underscoring the fact that despite the RVCP closeout in May 2017, FEDECOCAGUA will continue to provide technical assistance to growers to renew and replant coffee so as to continue and strengthen the improvements to date.
Plantation Renewal. RVCP plans technical assistance in San Marcos to 444 coffee producers (328 men and 116 women) to renew 199 hectares using productive tissue management (pruning). Coffee growers will invest GTQ71,400 of their own funds to implement the practice. RVCP plans technical assistance in San Marcos to 460 coffee producers (322 men and 138 women) to renew a total of 60 hectares; growers plan to invest GTQ2,400,000 for the practice. Coffee producers in San Marcos and Huehuetenango plan to use Project technical assistance to produce the nursery plants to renew their plantations using varieties resistant to coffee rust disease and likely to produce a high-quality cup.
Plantation Renewal. Plantation renewal by replacing coffee plants has become a high impact practice in light of its significant contribution to rejuvenating plantations, especially among those heavily damaged by coffee rust disease. This period, the Project renewed plantations through replacement of new plantings over 62 hectares. Plantation renewal through tissue management is one of the key practices used to maintain plantation productivity and wellbeing. This period, the Project implemented tissue management over 207 hectares in Nuevo Progreso, San Xxxxx Sacatepequez, San Pablo, Tajumulco and Sibinal in San Marcos.

  • Lease Commencement Notwithstanding anything contained herein to the contrary, if Lessor, for any reason whatsoever, including Lessor's negligence except as provided for in Article 27(b), cannot deliver possession of the Premises, as provided for in Article 27(a), to Lessee at the commencement of the agreed Term as set forth in Article 2, this Lease shall not be void or voidable, nor shall Lessor be liable to Lessee for any loss or damage resulting therefrom, but in that event, the Term shall be for the full term as specified above to commence from and after the date Lessor shall have delivered possession of the Premises to Lessee or from the date Lessor would have delivered possession of the Premises to Lessee but for Lessee's failure to timely supply to Lessor such drawings and/or information required by Exhibit C or for any other reason attributable to Lessee (herein the "Commencement Date") and to expire midnight of the day immediately preceding Term anniversary of the Commencement Date, and if requested by Lessor, Lessor and Lessee shall, ratify and confirm said Commencement and Expiration Dates by completing and signing Exhibit G attached hereto and made a part hereof.

  • LEASE RENEWAL (a) Provided that no Event of Default has occurred and is continuing as at the date of such request, if the Lessee shall, not earlier than 450 days and not later than one year prior to the last day of the Initial Term, request in writing that the Lessor obtain bank borrowings on terms acceptable to it and the Lessee in order to finance the Lessor's ownership of the Property and Equipment during the Renewal Term, the Lessor shall make reasonable efforts to arrange for bank commitments to provide such financing. (b) The Lessor will advise the Lessee and PCS Nitrogen Fertilizer Operations, Inc. in writing not later than 300 days prior to the last day of the Initial Term as to whether it has been able to obtain bank commitments on terms and conditions acceptable to it to finance the Property and Equipment for the period of Renewal Term. In such notice, the Lessor shall identify such terms and conditions. In order to renew the lease of the Property and Equipment for the Renewal Term, the Lessee must notify the Lessor in writing within thirty (30) days of its receipt of the foregoing notice of the Lessor, indicating (i) whether the terms and conditions of such financing are acceptable to it and (ii) whether, if PCS Nitrogen Fertilizer Operations, Inc. does not exercise its Purchase Option or, having exercised such option, PCS Nitrogen Fertilizer Operations, Inc. fails to effect the purchase contemplated thereby, the Lessee agrees to lease the Property and Equipment for the Renewal Term. The notice of the Lessee contemplated by the preceding sentence shall be irrevocable. (c) The lease of the Property and Equipment shall not be renewed for the Renewal Term if (i) the Lessor shall not obtain bank commitments to finance the Property and Equipment on terms and conditions acceptable to it and the Lessee, (ii) the Lessee shall not give the notice of renewal set forth in paragraph (b) above, (iii) PCS Nitrogen Fertilizer Operations, Inc. shall purchase the Property and Equipment pursuant to the exercise of the Purchase Option or (iv) the Lessor and the Lessee shall not have agreed on the Lease Termination Amount for the Renewal Term. (d) The Lessor shall schedule the closing of the financing contemplated by the bank commitments on or before the date which is six (6) months prior to the end of the Initial Term. The Lessor shall notify the Lessee in writing promptly of the closing of such financing or that such financing shall have failed to close on such scheduled date. Upon the date of such closing the Property and Equipment shall, subject to the terms and conditions of this Lease, be leased hereunder for the Renewal Term. If the closing shall not occur on or before the date which is six (6) months prior to the last day of the Initial Term, then the lease of the Property and Equipment shall terminate on the last day of the Initial Term and the Lessee shall comply with its obligations with respect to such termination as set forth in paragraph (b) of Section 13 hereof.

  • CONTRACT TERM - RENEWAL In addition to any stated renewal periods in the Contract, any Contract or unit portion thereof let by the Commissioner may be extended by the Commissioner for an additional period(s) of up to one year with the written concurrence of the Contractor and Comptroller. Such extension may be exercised on a month-to-month basis or in other stated periods of time during the one year extension.

  • TIME OF COMMENCEMENT AND COMPLETION 2.1 The Contractor shall commence the Work upon the date established in the Notice to Proceed. 2.2 The Contractor shall achieve Final Completion, as defined in Section 105.01, Contract Time, Notice of Contract Execution and Notice to Proceed of the Loudoun County Revisions to the 0000 XXXX Xxxx & Bridge Specifications, Division I - General Provisions, within one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days from the date specified in the Notice to Proceed. This time period shall be designated the Contract Time. The Notice to proceed will be issued approximately than thirty (30) days after the execution of this agreement. The Contractor agrees that the time for completion of the Work as described in the Contract Documents shall govern unless specifically amended in writing by the County, and that no claims for early completion are allowed to be presented by the Contractor to the County. 2.3 The County specifies that time is of the essence under this Contract. Time being of the essence, it is essential to the County that Contract work will be completed within the Contract Time. The County and the Contractor agree that damages for failure to complete the work within the Contract Time are not susceptible to exact determination but that $600 per day is in proportion to the actual loss that the County would suffer from such delay. Therefore, the Contractor will pay the County on demand $600 per day for each and every day beyond the one hundred and eighty (180) calendar days, or modified date of completion, that the County determines that work is not complete, as damages caused by such delay and not as a penalty. The County shall be entitled to offset liquidated damages against any sum owed by the County to the Contractor under this Contract. 2.4 The amount of liquidated damages set forth in Articles 2.3 above shall be assessed cumulatively. This provision for liquidated damages does not bar County's right to enforce other rights and remedies against Contractor, which are otherwise legally enforceable, including but not limited to, specific performance or injunctive relief. 2.5 The Contractor hereby waives any defense as to the validity of any liquidated damages stated in this Agreement as they may appear on grounds that such liquidated damages are void as penalties or are not reasonably related to actual damages.

  • Construction Commencement The Connecting Transmission Owner shall commence construction of the Connecting Transmission Owner’s Attachment Facilities and System Upgrade Facilities and System Deliverability Upgrades for which it is responsible as soon as practicable after the following additional conditions are satisfied: 5.6.1 Approval of the appropriate Governmental Authority has been obtained for any facilities requiring regulatory approval; 5.6.2 Necessary real property rights and rights-of-way have been obtained, to the extent required for the construction of a discrete aspect of the Connecting Transmission Owner’s Attachment Facilities and System Upgrade Facilities and System Deliverability Upgrades; 5.6.3 The Connecting Transmission Owner has received written authorization to proceed with construction from the Developer by the date specified in Appendix B hereto; and 5.6.4 The Developer has provided security to the Connecting Transmission Owner in accordance with Article 11.5 by the dates specified in Appendix B hereto.

  • Contract Renewal The Contract is hereby renewed for a period of one (1) year, with a new expiration date of June 8, 2021, under the same terms and conditions.

  • Non-Renewal of Agreement Executive may terminate Executive’s employment by providing a timely Non-Renewal Notice, pursuant to Section 1(a).
