Political and Religious Views / Solicitation. No resident has the right to force their opinion or views on any other individual in a way that is intrusive, abusive, offensive or which causes physical or emotional harm or distress, and no individual may be discriminated against, treated differently or oppressed because of their religion and/or beliefs. Solicitation includes any uninvited or unwanted attempt to make contact with a resident for the purpose of promoting religious or political beliefs, engaging religious or political views, or encouraging the purchase of items or tickets to an activity or event, or membership to a club or organisation. Solicitation is prohibited in the Village and any individual who after investigation, is suspected of having been involved in such activities, will be subject to disciplinary action at the discretion of Village Management, Village Staff and Village Security.

Political and Religious Views / Solicitation. Residents are encouraged to discuss their political and religious views, however, no resident has the right to force their opinion and views on another in a way that is abusive or which causes physical or emotional harm or distress, and no person may be discriminated against or oppressed because of their beliefs. Solicitation is an uninvited or unwanted attempt to make contact (in any form, whether by on-line means, such as email, social networking sites or otherwise) with a resident for the purpose of promoting religious beliefs, engaging political views, or encouraging the purchase of items or tickets to an activity or event, or membership to a club or organisation. Solicitation is prohibited in the Village.

  • Political Activity An employee shall not use his or her official authority for the purpose of interfering with or affecting the nomination or election of any candidate for public office. An employee shall not command or solicit in a coercive fashion from any other employee direct or indirect participation in any political activity or enforce or solicit in a coercive fashion contribution for any political party, organization, or candidate. An employee shall retain his or her right to vote and freely express opinions on all political subjects. An employee shall not be prohibited from participation in local community activities or from holding public office in the community in which the employee resides, provided that such activity does not conflict with Section 3.01 of the Rules and Regulations for Personnel Administration (and the Federal Hatch Act to the extent that employees of agencies receiving federal funds are subject thereto).

  • Political Activities Grant funds cannot be used for the following activities:

  • Inherently Religious Activities Grantee may not use grant funding to engage in inherently religious activities, such as proselytizing, scripture study, or worship. Grantees may engage in inherently religious activities; however, these activities must be separate in time or location from the grant- funded program. Moreover, grantees must not compel program beneficiaries to participate in inherently religious activities. These requirements apply to all grantees, not just faith-based organizations.

  • Political Action No Employee shall be disciplined for participation in any political action(s) called for by the Canadian Labour Congress, its affiliates, or subordinate bodies.
