Common use of Positions Designated Bilingual Clause in Contracts

Positions Designated Bilingual. Upon the recommendation of the Agency/Department Head and the approval of the Director of Personnel and Labor Relations, a person occupying a position designated as requiring fluency in a language other than English shall receive an additional $30.00 per biweekly pay period. A person occupying such a position and having proficiency in three or more languages, shall receive $35.00 per pay period provided that such a person is required to utilize such additional languages in the course of his/her duties for the County.
