Posting of Positions. 6.02.01 All vacancies for positions covered by this Collective Agreement, whether permanent or temporary, shall be posted on all bulletin boards customarily used for the posting of Company memos at all locations where employees covered by this Collective Agreement are employed, for a period of ten (10) consecutive calendar days. The requirements of the position must be relevant and correspond to the position’s functions and duties. 5-2.01 When a position becomes permanently vacant, the Employer shall have a period of ten fifteen (1015) consecutive calendar days to decide to fill, to eliminate or to modify the position.
5-2.02 The Employer will post internally for five (5) working days, any newly created or definitely vacant position. An electronic version employee who is absent at the time of the posting shall also be made available informed by telephone by the administrator responsible.

6.02.14 12.2 All vacancies for bargaining unit positions shall be posted for a minimum of seven (7) consecutive days in the department or unit to provide an equal opportunity for all for interested internal candidates to apply. The Company shall publish and post hiring authority may fill the results position with an internal department/unit candidate, without posting throughout the medical center, provided the candidate meets the following criteria: minimum requirements of the position vacancy as specified by the current job description and had appropriate involvement with/or knowledge of the position vacated.

12.4 If no internal candidate from within the affected department or unit applies for the open position within the seven posting days, the Nursing Director will contact Human Resources to begin the expanded recruitment process. Notice of available positions will be posted on all the bulletin board outside the cafeteria, the Human Resources department, the Sands wing, and on other clinical unit department bulletin boards customarily used that have bargaining unit positions and off site locations for a minimum of seven (7) consecutive days.
12.5 Positions may be posted outside the affected department or clinical unit and advertised outside the medical center and on the employer Intranet concurrently with their posting in the affected department or clinical unit, provided that such posting or advertising shall not impact the rights of nurses under this Article.
12.6 Following the close of the posting period on the affected department or unit, the Employer shall offer the position to the most senior applicant from within the department or clinical unit who meets the requirements of the position. If the vacancy is not filled from within the department or clinical unit, the Employer shall offer the position to qualified nurses on recall for the posting classification pursuant to the provisions of Company memos within ten (10) working days following Article 12.
12.7 If the expiry date vacancy is not filled from the recall list, the Employer shall offer the position to an applicant currently in the classification but outside the clinical unit, based upon the applicant’s skills, abilities and relevant professional experience, giving preference to employees who have received a layoff notice. In the event that skills, abilities and experiences are relatively equal, the Employer shall select the applicant with the most seniority.
12.8 If the vacancy is not filled through the preceding procedures, applicants from any other source may be considered.
12.9 In all cases, the applicant selected must possess the ability to perform the duties of the postingposition and meet the qualifications and department specific preferred qualifications included on the job description.
6.02.15 When 12.10 All inquiries from nurses from outside the department/program for promotion or transfer and all applicants for employment shall be directed to the Human Resources department and will be required to complete an application form.
12.11 External recruitment will be initiated and/or coordinated by the Human Resources Department.
12.12 All recruitment efforts will affirm the medical center’s policy of Equal Employment Opportunity.
12.13 All applications are to be reviewed by Human Resources to assess the applicant’s qualifications with respect to the position(s) sought. An interview with Human Resources and/or the Nursing Director/designee will be conducted with all bargaining unit nurses applying for an open position within two (2) weeks of the completed posting time frame. Nurses who have been interviewed will be notified of their selection/non-selection within one (1) week of the final nurse interview.
12.14 Nurses who have transferred or who have received discipline at the written level or beyond within the prior twelve (12) months, are not eligible for the provisions of this Article, except by mutual agreement between the Employer and the Nurse.
12.15 At his/her request, the nurse transferring into a candidate is chosen new position shall be allowed to fill return to his/her previous position for a period of up to three (3) months, so long as the previous position remains vacant and so long as the nurse has not received written discipline in the new position, except by mutual agreement between the Employer and the Company cannot release him for operational requirements from his present positionnurse.
12.16 If a nurse receives a temporary assignment, he the nurse at the conclusion of the temporary assignment shall be paid returned to his/her previous position including shifts and accrue seniority from hours. If the expected entry date indicated on temporary assignment will become a position vacancy, the postingposition will be posted as a vacancy and filled in accordance with this Agreement. A nurse who received a temporary assignment shall have full rights to apply for and be considered for the open position vacancy.

11. : ⮚ Opening and closing date of the postingNotice ⮚ Description of the position (classification and aircraft type) ⮚ Base assigned ⮚ Number of positions to be filled ⮚ Date position becomes effective ⮚ Total number of positions on aircraft type ⮚ Total number of positions on all other types of aircraft An electronic version of the Notice shall be sent to the Association. This provision does not have the effect of forcing the the Company to fill any vacated position.
6.02.04 A copy 6.1.2 An FCM who is away and who wants to be informed of all vacancy possible postings shall inform his immediate superior of the address and telephone number where he can be forwarded via e-mail to all the Local Chief Shop Stewards before they are posted.
6.02.05 Once a position award has become effective, the Company shall not cancel the award without written justification to the employee, with a copy to the Local Chief Shop Xxxxxxx.
6.02.06 Employees wishing to be considered for an available position must submit their resume or application to the Human Resources Department in YUL either via fax or e-mailcontacted. The position reference number must be included. All such resumes and applications must be received by 23:59 EST on the vacancy closing date.
6.02.07 The Company shall grant access make the necessary effort to its intranet so that all employees absent due to vacation, voluntary leave of absence or layoff have access to all current vacancy postings. Where the Company cannot provide access to such employees, copies of all current vacancy postings shall be forwarded by the Company by e-mail on a weekly basis, where requested by the absent employeecontact him.
6.02.08 The Company shall forward all current vacancy postings to employees on Out-Base assignments.
6.02.09 When an employee is awarded 6.1.3 If a position is vacant, the “Notice of Positions to be Filled” must be posted no later than thirty (example: Certified Aircraft Technician or Certified Aircraft Avionics Technician30) and the Company prevents such employee who currently holds a valid M2 or E Category Transport Canada licence, from attending an endorsement course required for the awarded position, or such training which was planned or forecast is subsequently cancelled or postponed, such employee shall have his seniority in the awarded position become effective as of the date the course would have been completed.
6.02.09.1 For the purpose of calculating days following the date on which the course would have been completed, the employee shall, at the time the position is awarded, receive written notification of the planned or forecasted date of the required endorsement coursevacancy occurred.
6.02.10 When choosing 6.1.4 The interval between qualified candidates, the Company shall grant the position to the employee with the highest seniority in his trade group and classification. The requirements of the position must be relevant and correspond to the position’s functions and duties. If the candidate(s) with the highest seniority is (or are) not chosen, management must provide him (or them) with a written explanation as to why he (or they) was (or were) not chosen, with a copy to the Local Chief Shop Xxxxxxx.
6.02.10.1 When choosing between a qualified internal candidate (covered by this agreement) and an external candidate, the internal candidate (covered by this agreement) shall be given preference, if both candidates have equal qualifications and meet the requirements of the vacancy posting. The internal candidate shall be subject to the conditions of Article 4.08.
6.02.10.2 Should an external candidate be chosen over an internal candidate (covered by this agreement), the internal candidate (covered by this agreement) shall be given a detailed written reason for not being chosen.
6.02.11 Vacancy postings shall be awarded firstly to the qualified employee at the base where the requirement exists.
6.02.12 The Company shall provide the Local Chief Shop Xxxxxxx with a written or electronic list of all employees who have applied for the position vacancy within maximum seven (7) working days following the closing date of the postingNotice and the date the position comes into effect shall be no more than one hundred and twenty (120) days.
6.02.13 The Company shall provide the Local Chief Shop Xxxxxxx in writing or via e-mail of the name(s) of the candidate(s) chosen to fill the position, at the same time the successful candidate is notified.
6.02.14 6.1.5 The Company shall publish and post the results of the position vacancy on all bulletin boards customarily used for the posting of Company memos Notice posted within ten fifteen (1015) working days following the expiry date of the postingclosing date, together with transfers.
6.02.15 When a candidate is chosen to fill a position, and the Company cannot release him for operational requirements from his present position, he 6.1.6 A retiring FCM’s permanent position shall be paid and accrue seniority from posted at least two (2) months prior to the retired FCM’s expected entry departure date indicated if the date is known at that moment.
6.1.7 The FCM who is granted a position following a posting due to the absence of an FCM on sick leave for a period longer than 24 months is not bumped if the postinglatter should become able to exercise his functions again.
