Posting Position Openings. The Human Resource Department will provide the Chief, for posting on the F.O.P. bulletin board, copies of announcements of job opportunities in the classified competitive service, together with announcement of job opportunities for the openings in the classified non- competitive service. The Chief in turn will make such information available to the F.O.P. or any other interested person in his Division. The Chief of Police shall post all vacancies for positions of sworn officers within the bargaining unit. Members wishing to fill such vacancies shall respond back to the Chief of Police in writing, and such response shall include the member’s qualifications and reasons why the employee is interested in the position.
