Premium Pay for Hours Worked on a Holiday. A. A regular employee who works on a recognized National holiday, as specified in Section 1 of this Article, shall receive premium pay of double-time-and-a-half (2-1/2) his/her regular straight-time rate of pay, including applicable shift premium, for all hours worked on the holiday, or for the employee's assigned full-time equivalent hours, whichever is greater, up to a maximum of eight (8). Hours worked in excess of eight (8) shall be paid at time-and-a-half (1-1/2). B. A short-hour, temporary or on-call employee, or a regular employee with less than one (1) month of service, who works on a recognized National holiday as specified in Section 1 of this Article, shall receive premium pay of time-and-a-half (1-1/2) his/her regular straight-time rate of pay, including applicable shift premium, for all hours worked.
