Primary Department Chairperson/Intermediate Department Chairperson. One primary department chairperson may be established by the Board for a school with more than six F.T.E. teachers at the primary level (K-3). One intermediate department chairperson may be established by the Board for a school with more than six F.T.E. teachers at the intermediate level (4-5). If primary/intermediate department chairperson positions are established, those established will be recommended by the unit administrator and approved by the Superintendent. Department chairperson's F.T.E. shall be counted at the end of the first quarter.
