Hospital-Association Committee (a) There shall be a Hospital-Union Committee comprised of representatives of the Hospital, one of whom shall be the Chief Nursing Officer or designate and of the Union, one of whom shall be the Bargaining Unit President or designate. The number of representatives is set out in the Appendix of Local Provisions and the membership of the Committee may be expanded by mutual agreement. (b) The Committee shall meet every two (2) months unless otherwise agreed and as required under Article 8.01 (a) (iv). The duties of chair and secretary shall alternate between the parties. Where possible, agenda items will be exchanged in writing at least five (5) calendar days prior to the meeting. A record shall be maintained of matters referred to the Committee and the recommended disposition, if any, unless agreed to the contrary. Copies of the record shall be provided to Committee members. (c) The purpose of the Committee includes: i) promoting and providing effective and meaningful communication of information and ideas, including but not limited to workload measurement tools and the promotion of best practices. Such communication may include discussion of nursing workload measurement and patient acuity systems. The Hospital will provide, upon request, information on workload measurement systems applicable to nursing currently used by the Hospital, and evaluations completed by the Hospital of such systems. ii) reviewing professional responsibility complaints with a view to identifying trends and sharing organizational successes and solutions, making joint recommendations on matters of concern including the quality and quantity of nursing care and discussing the development and implementation of quality initiatives; iii) making joint recommendations to the Chief Nursing Officer on matters of concern regarding recurring workload issues including the development of staffing guidelines, the use of agency nurses and use of overtime; iv) dealing with complaints referred to it in accordance with the provisions of Article 8, Professional Responsibility; v) discussing and reviewing matters relating to orientation and in- service programs; vi) promote the creation of full-time positions for nurses, and discuss the effect of such changes on the employment status of the nurses. This may include the impact, if any, on part-time and full-time, job sharing and retention and recruitment. (d) The Hospital agrees to pay for time spent during regular working hours for representatives of the Union attending at such meetings. (e) Where a Committee representative designated by the Union attends Committee meetings outside of her or his regularly scheduled hours, she or he will be paid for all time spent in attendance at such meetings at her or his regular straight time hourly rate of pay. Such payment shall be limited to two (2) Committee representatives per meeting.
Management Team Subject to any approval or consulting rights of the --------------- Joint Operations Committee, Manager shall engage or designate one or more individuals experienced in dental group management and direction, including, but not limited to, an administrator, who will be responsible for the overall administration of the Practice including day-to-day operations and strategic development activities.
Training Committee The parties to this Agreement may form a Training Committee. The Training Committee will be constituted by equal numbers of Employer nominees and ETU employee representatives and have a charter which clearly states its role and responsibilities. It shall monitor the clauses of this Agreement which relate to training and ensure all employees have equal access to training.
EPP session-‐command RTT Refers to the RTT of the sequence of packets that includes the sending of a session command plus the reception of the EPP response for only one EPP session command. For the login command it will include packets needed for starting the TCP session. For the logout command it will include packets needed for closing the TCP session. EPP session commands are those described in section 2.9.1 of EPP RFC 5730. If the RTT is 5 times or more the corresponding SLR, the RTT will be considered undefined.
TRANSITION COMMITTEE A transition committee comprised of the employee representatives and the employer representatives, including the Crown, will be established by January 31, 2016 to address all matters that may arise in the creation of the Trust.
Principal Investigator The Research will be supervised by __________________ ("Principal Investigator"). If for any reason the individual is unable to continue to serve as Principal Investigator and a successor acceptable to both the University and the Sponsor is not available, this agreement shall be terminated as provided in Article 9. The Principal Investigator may work with others at the University (“Associates”) in conducting the Research.
Local Professional Development Committee A. There shall be a Local Professional Development Committee (LPDC) to oversee, review, and approve individual professional development plans (IPDP) for course work, continuing education units and/or other equivalent activities. 1. The LPDC shall be responsible to recommend for the Superintendent’s approval, all in-service activities and workshops offered in the district during the school year for staff professional development. 2. Recommendations for District Workshops and In-Service activities should be submitted to the LPDC for approval and recommendation no later than the last school day of the year prior to the year it will be implemented. 3. The LPDC chair shall review and approve all “Professional Growth Reimbursement Application” forms. B. The LPDC shall consist of three (3) teachers appointed by the Association President and two (2) members appointed by the Superintendent. One of the Superintendent's appointees will be a Principal employed by the district. C. Appointments shall be for two (2) years with half of the committee members being appointed every other year. 1. Appointments shall be made on or before May 1. 2. The Appointments shall be made by each party outlined above, notifying the other of those appointed. 3. In the event of a vacancy, the committee members shall be replaced in accordance with "B." above. 4. The Association shall name a fourth teacher member and the Superintendent shall name a third administrative member to serve as alternates and attend trainings. These two (2) people shall act as substitutes when a committee member is absent. D. This committee shall meet monthly. 1. The committee may also be convened by the request of two sitting members. 2. A quorum shall consist of five (5) members. When administrative licenses/certificates are reviewed, two (2) sitting teacher members will abstain and the decision will be decided by three (3) members. 3. If the committee determines it is needed, they will be provided two (2) professional release days to meet during regular school hours. Substitutes will be provided for the committee members on these release days. 4. Committee members shall be provided an additional annual stipend of $1,000 for meetings beyond the normal work day or year. This stipend shall be paid in two (2) semi-annual payments. Any member who fails to serve the full year shall have the above compensation prorated on a monthly basis for each month served. 5. Decisions of the LPDC will be made by consensus of the committee members present. 6. The committee minutes shall be prepared and maintained in compliance with the laws governing the operation of committees of public bodies.
STRS PICK-UP The Board agrees, as a condition of employment, to tax shelter employee contributions to the State Teacher's Retirement System (STRS) in accordance with State Retirement System and Federal Internal Revenue Service guidelines and restrictions. This section in no way implies that the Board will contribute any portion of the employee's share of retirement contributions. For purposes of this paragraph, total annual salary and salary per pay period of each bargaining unit member shall be the salary otherwise payable under this Agreement, as amended. The total annual salary and salary per pay period of each member shall be payable by the Board in two parts: (1) deferred salary and (2) cash salary. A member's deferred salary shall be equal to that percentage of said member's total annual salary or salary per pay period which is required from time to time by the State Teachers Retirement System (STRS) to be paid as an employee contribution by said member as a pickup of the STRS employee contribution otherwise payable by said member. A member's cash salary shall be equal to said member's total annual salary or salary per period less the amount of the pickup for said member and shall be payable, subject to applicable payroll deductions, to said member. The Board's total combined expenditures for members' total annual salaries otherwise payable under this Agreement, as amended, (including pickup amounts) and its employer contributions to STRS shall not be greater than the amounts it would have paid for those items had this provision not been in effect. The Board shall compute and remit its employer contributions to STRS based upon total annual salary, including the "pickup". The Board shall report for Federal and Ohio income tax purposes as a member's gross income said member's total annual salary less the amount of the "pickup". The Board shall report for municipal income tax purposes as a member's gross income said member's total annual salary, including the amount of the pickup. The pickup shall be included in the member's total annual salary for the purpose of computing daily rate of pay, for determining paid salary adjustments to be made due to absence, or for any other similar purpose. The pickup shall apply to all payroll payments made after the effective date of this provision. Should the Board's payment of deferred salary cause an individual bargaining unit member's annuity contributions to exceed the IRS permissible level, any such individual shall have the right to adjust annuity deductions within thirty (30) days of the effective date of this provision.
Nurse Representatives The Employer agrees to recognize two (2) Nurse Representatives for the purpose of dealing with grievances and conducting Union interviews.
Professional Development Committee There shall be a Professional Development Committee composed of two (2) members of the Association one of whom shall be the Bargaining Unit President or designate and two (2) representatives of the Hospital one of whom shall be the Chief Nursing Officer or designate and one human resources representative.
