PROBATION AND PROMOTION. 10.01 Every new employee shall serve a probationary period of twelve (12) months. A new employee may be examined at any time during the probationary period to determine his/her suitability for the firefighting service and if he/she is not suitable, in the opinion of the Fire Chief, the Fire Chief may, at his/her discretion, terminate the services of the new employee without recourse to Article 9.
