Common use of Probationary Exception Clause in Contracts

Probationary Exception. The provisions of this Article do not apply to the removal of any employee during his/her probationary period. Probationary period is defined as a period of thirty (30) days from the first work day. If at any time during the probationary period the Board determines that the employee is not satisfactorily performing duties of his/her position, the employee may be removed by the Superintendent upon written notice served personally upon the employee or mailed by the certified mail to the employee's current address as shown on the records of the Board.
