Common use of Probationary Period – Transfers/Promotions Clause in Contracts

Probationary Period – Transfers/Promotions. An employee transferred or promoted shall serve a probationary period of 45 working days. During this 45-day probationary period if it is determined by the School District that the employee’s performance in the new position is unsatisfactory the School District shall have the right to reassign the employee to her/his former classification or equivalent position. During the probationary period the employee may elect to return to her/his former classification or equivalent position after consulting with the food service director.
