PROCESS CHAMBER. The process chamber is a rectangular furnace body with a movable lid on top. The chamber lid is fixed to the furnace body The process chamber is double-walled for water cooling The process chamber is designed to operate the furnace with a pressure of approx. 1 - 900 mbar. The inside walls are made out of stainless steel, the outside walls are made of mild steel. Process Chamber, mainly consisting of: (1) Double walled chamber body, water-cooled inner chamber parts made of stainless steel, with mating flanges for the lid. Outer furnace will be made out of mild steel. (1) Port for the pumping unit (2) Ports for the high-current feed-through for the heaters (1) Set of stainless steel protection plates. These protection steel plates are to be placed temporarily between hot zone and chamber wall during the bake-out procedures in order to collect condensable organic compounds and, by this, reduce contamination of the chamber. PROCESS CHAMBER. Process chamber including its accessories shall operate as follows: 1. The unit shall be able to handle a mixture of solid, sludge and liquid inorganic and organic feedstock. 2. In the presence of heat and steam the organic material in the chamber shall be converted into syngas. The temperatures in the process chamber shall be high enough to allow destruction of organic material. 3. A steam generator shall feed controlled amounts of steam to the process chamber as demanded by the steam reformation process. 4. After gasification, the remaining inert material including metals and minerals, referred to as residues, shall be heated to a molten state in the process chamber. 5. The gas discharge line shall be equipped with a pressure relief device based on a water seal tank concept. 6. The molten material shall retain radioactive and non-radioactive metals (except those having low vapor pressure at the operating temperature). 7. Fluxes and other additives shall be introduced in the process chamber to improve the handling and quality of the residues. The residues shall meet the EPA leachability tests as defined by TCLP test protocols. The residues shall also meet the performance requirements of the Hanford site Solid Waste Acceptance Criteria. 8. A pre-heater device is provided to control process chamber temperature during the initial start-up as well as shut-down and idle periods. 9.   • Cost of Arbitration The fees for a single Arbitrator, or a Chairperson of a Board of Arbitration, shall be shared equally by the parties.

  • Scope of Arbitration The Executive expressly understands and agrees that claims subject to arbitration under this section include asserted violations of the Employee Retirement and Income Security Act of 1974; the Age Discrimination in Employment Act; the Older Worker’s Benefit Protection Act; the Americans with Disabilities Act; Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (as amended); the Family and Medical Leave Act; any law prohibiting discrimination, harassment or retaliation in employment; any claim of promissory estoppel or detrimental reliance, defamation, intentional infliction of emotional distress; or the public policy of any state, or any federal, state or local law.

  • Terms of Arbitration The arbitrator chosen in accordance with these provisions will not have the power to alter, amend or otherwise affect the terms of these arbitration provisions or the provisions of this Agreement.

  • Notice of Arbitration If a Person asserts that there exists a Dispute, then such Person (the “Disputing Person”) will give each other Person involved in such Dispute a written notice setting forth the nature of the asserted Dispute. If all such Persons do not resolve any such asserted Dispute prior to the 10th business day after such notice is given, then any of them may commence arbitration pursuant to this Paragraph 19 by giving each other Person involved in such Dispute a written notice to that effect (an “Arbitration Notice”), setting forth any matters which are required to be set forth therein in accordance with the AAA Rules.

  • Step 4 - Arbitration a. If the Union is dissatisfied with the written decision at Step 2 or if the mediation is not successful, within twenty-five (25) days of the Step 2 meeting, the Union may advance the grievance to arbitration. Only the Union (not an individual Bargaining Unit Faculty member) may process a grievance to arbitration. b. Within thirty (30) days of notice of proceeding to arbitration, the Union and the College shall select an impartial third party to be Arbitrator. In the event the parties cannot agree on the selection of an impartial third party, they shall request a list of Arbitrators from Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. c. Within five (5) days of receipt of the list, the parties shall alternately strike names from the list until one name remains. The person whose name remains shall be the Arbitrator. d. Each party shall bear the expense of preparing and presenting its own case. The costs of the arbitration proceedings, including compensation, fees and expenses of the Arbitrator, and the cost of any hearing transcript, shall be borne equally by the College and the Union. Unless otherwise mutually agreed, each arbitration hearing shall deal with no more than one (1) grievance. e. Subject to the availability of the Arbitrator selected, arbitration shall begin within thirty (30) days unless a delay is agreed upon by both parties. f. The Arbitrator shall have no power to add to, subtract from, modify or disregard any of the provisions of this Agreement. The decision of the Arbitrator shall be final and binding on the parties, although each side retains whatever rights it has under state or federal law to challenge the decision and award. The Arbitrator shall have no jurisdiction or authority to issue any award changing, modifying or restricting any action taken by the College on matters committed to the College’s discretion under Article 23, Management Rights, which are not further abridged by other terms of this Agreement. Jurisdiction shall extend solely to claims of violation of specific written provisions of the Agreement and involve only the interpretation and application of the Agreement.

  • Location of Arbitration The arbitration shall take place in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and the arbitrator shall issue any award at the place of arbitration. The arbitrator may conduct hearings and meetings at any other place agreeable to the parties or, upon the motion of a party, determined by the arbitrator as necessary to obtain significant testimony or evidence.

  • Initiation of Arbitration Pursuant to Section 110 of the Arbitration Act, the parties agree that a party may initiate Arbitration by giving written notice to the other party (“Arbitration Notice”) in the same manner that notice is permitted under Section 9.13 of the Agreement; provided, however, that the Arbitration Notice may not be given by email or fax. Arbitration will be deemed initiated as of the date that the Arbitration Notice is deemed delivered to such other party under Section 9.13 of the Agreement (the “Service Date”). After the Service Date, information may be delivered, and notices may be given, by email or fax pursuant to Section 9.13 of the Agreement or any other method permitted thereunder. The Arbitration Notice must describe the nature of the controversy, the remedies sought, and the election to commence Arbitration proceedings. All Claims in the Arbitration Notice must be pleaded consistent with the Utah Rules of Civil Procedure.

  • Costs of Arbitration Each party shall bear one half the cost of the arbitration filing and hearing fees, and the cost of the arbitrator.

  • Level Four - Arbitration If the grievance is not satisfactorily resolved at the Level Three conference, the grievance shall be submitted to an independent Arbitrator if such request is made within ten (10) days of the Level Three conference. The Arbitrator shall be selected by mutual agreement from the following list. The hearing shall be conducted by the Arbitrator selected in the manner described above but independently from the American Arbitration Association. a. The duty and responsibility of the Arbitrator is to apply and interpret the express provisions of the agreement and shall not have the authority to add to, subtract from, alter, modify, vary, or ignore the terms of the Agreement or to determine that any provision is unconstitutional or contrary to any federal or state law or regulation, it being expressly agreed that any such determination shall be made by a court of law. b. The Arbitrator shall be requested to render his written decision within thirty (30) calendar days from the conclusion of the hearing or submission of briefs. c. The rules may be amended in writing by the mutual agreement of the parties. d. Either party shall have the right within ten (10) days from the receipt of the decision of the Arbitrator to apply to a court of competent jurisdiction for a rehearing of the claim both as to the facts and the law, provided however, that if application in not made within such time, the decision of the Arbitrator shall be binding.
