Common use of Professional Indemnity Clause in Contracts

Professional Indemnity. C11.1 The Contractor shall effect and maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance cover of an amount not less than £5,000,000 per incident or such higher amount as the Authority may reasonably require during the Contract Period and shall ensure that all Contractor’s Personnel involved in the supply of the Services do the same. Such insurance shall be maintained for a minimum of six (6) years following the expiration or earlier termination of the Contract, unless the Contract has been entered into by way of a deed in which event the period shall be twelve (12) years.

To comply with its obligations under this clause and as a minimum, the Contractor shall ensure professional indemnity insurance held by the Contractor has a limit of an amount indemnity of not less than £5,000,000 per incident 1 million (one million pounds) for each individual claim or such higher amount limit as the Authority Customer may reasonably require during the Contract Period (and shall ensure that all Contractor’s Personnel involved in the supply of the Services do the sameas required by law) from time to time. Such insurance shall be maintained for a minimum of six 6 (6six) years following the expiration or earlier termination of the Contract, unless the Contract has been entered into by way of a deed in which event the period shall be twelve (12) years.

Professional Indemnity. C11.1 52.1 The Contractor shall effect hold and maintain appropriate professional indemnity insurance cover and shall ensure that all professional consultants involved in the provision of an amount the Services hold and maintain appropriate cover. Such insurance to be held by the Contractor or by any agent, sub-contractor or consultant involved in the provision of Services with a limit of indemnity of not less than £5,000,000 per incident or such higher amount as the Authority may reasonably require during the Contract Period (Five million pounds) for any occurrences arising out of each and shall ensure that all Contractor’s Personnel involved in the supply of the Services do the sameevery event. Such insurance shall be maintained for a minimum of six 12 (6twelve) years following the expiration or earlier termination of the this Contract, unless the Contract has been entered into by way of a deed in which event the period shall be twelve (12) years.
