Program Overview. The program will incorporate cell study for inmates identified with an educational need or desire to continue with post-secondary education, such as correspondence courses. Inmates at PIMS Level II or higher will also be eligible for workbook programs to address errors in thinking, aggression and substance abuse, where applicable. Once an inmate begins CPP programming, programming may be denied only (1) in exceptional circumstances consistent with Section II(C), or; (2) where an inmate regresses from a higher PIMS level to PIMS I and adequate CPP program staff are not available to continue programming at PIMS I, programming may be temporarily interrupted provided that such programming shall resume as soon as CPP staff become available. An inmate may be removed from CPP for chronic failure to comply with program objectives in accordance with the policies in Section II(I)(1)(a), except that the recommendation to remove an inmate will be made by the ORC instead of the Program Management Team.
