Promotion from Assistant Professor to Associate Professor. 13.6.1 Promotion to Associate Professor shall be accompanied by the granting of tenure, except in cases where a person has had relevant prior experience and is hired as an Assistant Professor. In such cases, promotion without tenure to Associate Professor during the first two years of University employment is permissible.
