Promotions Outside Bargaining Units. In the event a member of the bargaining unit accepts a position with the Company, which is outside the scope of this Agreement, the following shall apply: The employee will remain on the seniority list, accrue seniority and maintain their union membership for a period not to exceed three (3) months. Upon completion of this period, the employee must return to their original position or their name will be removed from the seniority list and they will no longer be a member of the bargaining unit. No employee will be allowed to exercise their right under this clause more than once during their employment with the Company.
