PROPERTY PURCHASE AND ACCOUNTING. LOCAL AGENCY shall be responsible for all costs associated with property required by personnel to carry out this agreement. Employee uniform costs will be assessed to the LOCAL AGENCY through the agreement billing process. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) costs shall be the responsibility of the LOCAL AGENCY. By mutual agreement, PPE meeting the minimum specifications established by the STATE may be purchased directly by the LOCAL AGENCY. Alternately, the STATE will supply all PPE and the LOCAL AGENCY will be billed for costs incurred. All property provided by LOCAL AGENCY and by STATE for the purpose of providing fire protection services shall be marked and accounted for by the Unit Chief in such a manner as to conform to the regulations, if any, established by the parties for the segregation, care, and use of the respective properties.
