Proportioning Methods Sample Clauses

Proportioning Methods. Add the following to this subsection: Store silica fume in a separate silo. Weigh silica fume separately from coarse and fine aggregate. Submit for approval, a procedure outlining how silica fume will be weighed and introduced into the mixing drum during the batching process. Add the following to the third paragraph of this Subsection: Proportion water to maintain batching consistency with regard to stockpile moisture contents and varying absorption values for both coarse and fine aggregates. If requested, submit a new mix design if either the coarse of fine aggregate absorption values vary from the approved mix design by more than 1 percent. Delete the second sentence of the eighth paragraph of this Subsection and substitute the following there for: When the entire plant is running, the scale reading and cutoff weights shall not vary from the mix design by more than 1 percent for cement, flyash, and silica fume, 1.5 percent for any individual size aggregate, and 1 percent for the total combined aggregate in any batch. The total water shall not exceed the maximum water specified in the mix design. Add the following to the fourth paragraph from the top of Page 218 of the NDOT Standard Specifications: Do not exceed a total of 320 revolutions from the time of initial batching to complete discharge of delivered concrete.

  • Voting Method Unless otherwise provided by law, when a vote is taken upon any measure before the Board, with a quorum being present, a majority of the votes cast shall determine its outcome. A vote of "abstain" or "present," or a vote other than "yea" or "nay," or a failure to vote, is counted for the purposes of determining whether a quorum is present. A vote of "abstain" or "present," or a vote other than "yea" or "nay," or a failure to vote, however, is not counted in determining whether a measure has been passed by the Board, unless otherwise stated in law. The sequence for casting votes is rotated. On all questions involving the expenditure of money and on all questions involving the closing of a meeting to the public, a roll call vote shall be taken and entered in the Board's minutes. An individual Board member may request that a roll call vote be taken on any other matter; the President or other presiding officer may approve or deny the request but a denial is subject to being overturned by a majority vote of the members present. Any Board member may include a written explanation of his or her vote in the District file containing individual Board member statements; the explanation will not be part of the minutes. Minutes The Board Secretary shall keep written minutes of all Board meetings (whether open or closed), which shall be signed by the President and the Secretary. The minutes include:

  • Power Factor Design Criteria Developer shall design the Large Generating Facility to maintain an effective power delivery at demonstrated maximum net capability at the Point of Interconnection at a power factor within the range established by the Connecting Transmission Owner on a comparable basis, until NYISO has established different requirements that apply to all generators in the New York Control Area on a comparable basis. The Developer shall design and maintain the plant auxiliary systems to operate safely throughout the entire real and reactive power design range. The Connecting Transmission Owner shall not unreasonably restrict or condition the reactive power production or absorption of the Large Generating Facility in accordance with Good Utility Practice.

  • Inputs 921 The following resources constitute a suitable, but neither exhaustive nor normative suite of the process inputs:

  • Measurement method An isolation resistance test instrument is connected between the live parts and the electrical chassis. The isolation resistance is subsequently measured by applying a DC voltage at least half of the working voltage of the high voltage bus. If the system has several voltage ranges (e.g. because of boost converter) in conductively connected circuit and some of the components cannot withstand the working voltage of the entire circuit, the isolation resistance between those components and the electrical chassis can be measured separately by applying at least half of their own working voltage with those components disconnected.

  • Methods of Measurement The methods used to identify the educational strengths and needs of students are set forth in the approved Application.
