Common use of Protection from Communicable Diseases Clause in Contracts

Protection from Communicable Diseases. (a) Unit members shall receive medical testing for AIDS, tuberculosis, hepatitis, and any other communicable diseases when an employee believes he/she has been exposed to such diseases on the job. The costs for such tests shall be payable by the County or otherwise compensable in accordance with existing Workers' Compensation benefits. (b) The Occupational Medical Services unit, OHR, will be responsible for coordinating the testing that may occur at hospital emergency rooms, private physicians, or occupational medical section facilities.
