PROTECTION OF EMPLOYEES. A. The Board recognizes its responsibility to give support and assistance to employees with respect to the maintenance of control and discipline. B. The employee shall promptly report any case of assault on the association member to the Board of Education or its designated representative. The Board shall advise the employee of their rights and obligations with respect to such assault and shall render assistance to the employee in connection with the handling of the incident. C. If any employee is complained against or sued as a result of any action taken by the employee while in pursuit of their employment, the Board shall render all justifiable assistance to the employee in their defense. D. Time lost due to action taken by the district in connection with any incident mentioned in this Article shall not be charged against the employee if exonerated of the charge. E. Employees shall be verbally notified of complaints made against them by parents. No action shall be taken nor shall any notice thereof be included in said employee's personnel file unless such matter is promptly reported in writing to the employee concerned. Assistance of the administrative staff will be given in the disposition of the complaint.
