PROTECTION OF EMPLOYEES. A. The Board will give all reasonable support and assistance to employees with respect to the maintenance of control and discipline in the workplace. B. Any case of assault upon an employee shall be promptly reported to the Board or its designated representative. C. Time lost by an employee in connection with any incident mentioned in this Article shall not be charged against the employee, unless he/she shall be judged guilty by a court of competent jurisdiction from whose decision no appeal has been taken or found guilty through the internal disciplinary process. D. Employees shall be expected to exercise reasonable care with respect to the safety of pupils and property, but shall not be individually liable, except in the case of gross negligence or gross neglect of duty for any damage or loss to person or property. E. Employees who are required to provide direct services to students related to hygiene or medical conditions including but not limited to diaper changing, toilet transfers, and catheterization will receive training to perform the specific procedures at the district’s expense. Employees required to provide such services will be involved on a case-by-case basis in the process by which it is determined the manner in which such services will be provided.
