Common use of PROVISION OF EMERGENCY SERVICES Clause in Contracts

PROVISION OF EMERGENCY SERVICES. Contractor shall provide emergency services at County’s request in the event of major accidents, disruptions, natural calamities or other emergencies as designated by federal, State or local authorities. Emergency services may include, but are not limited to: assistance handling, salvaging, processing, composting, or recycling materials; or disposing of solid waste following a major accident, disruption, or natural calamity. Contractor shall be capable of providing emergency services within twenty-four (24) hours of notification by County or as soon thereafter as is reasonably practical in light of the circumstances. Emergency services which exceed Contractor’s obligations shall be compensated in accordance with Article 12. If Contractor cannot provide the requested emergency services, County shall have the right to temporarily take possession of the Contractor’s equipment for the purposes of providing emergency services in accordance with Article 13. ARTICLE 9 REQUIREMENTS FOR OPERATIONS, EQUIPMENT AND PERSONNEL
