Purpose of internship. The purpose of this internship is to enable the student to gain experience in the practical application of the theoretical knowledge that he or she has already acquired and to obtain new knowledge and skills. The annex sets out the tasks, responsibilities and learning objectives, in keeping with the level and competences of the intern. This agreement is therefore not an employment contract; the key focus of this internship is learning, not work.5
Purpose of internship. The Internship is a structured professional training and work experience programme with the goal of providing high quality training and practical exposure in all aspects of Municipal Human Resources which is governed by the Municipal Systems Act, 32 of 2000 and the underlying reforms. The programme has a logical training sequence that builds on the skills and competencies acquired during University and Technikon training. STIPEND AND DURATION R3 500 per month for 12 months.
