Professional Training. (a) The parties to this Agreement recognize that there are two types of professional training programs, namely:
(i) Formal training programs - which include credit courses at universities or colleges or through correspondence, leading towards a degree, diploma or certificate.
(ii) Informal training programs - which include non-credit training in the form of seminars, workshops, conferences or portions of conferences with educational content, short courses, correspondence courses and field trips.
(b) All training must be of a nature related to duties in the same or similar discipline of the employee concerned, or to duties which are performed in the Public Service. In both instances, the training must be directed towards an improvement of skills which, in the Employer's opinion, are required within the Public Service.
(c) The Employer agrees to consult with the Union to determine where professional training programs may be inadequate or inappropriate.
(d) Where the Employer requires an employee to attend a training program, the Employer shall bear the full cost of the employee's training, and where the program entails leave of absence, such leave of absence shall be with pay.
(e) Where an employee requests to attend a training program which is not required by the Employer, the Employer may grant to the employee leave of absence, where necessary, with pay or partial pay or without pay, and/or choose to defray a portion of the cost of the employee's training.
(f) The cost of an employee's training, referred to in (d) and (e) above, includes, where applicable:
(i) tuition fees,
(ii) entrance or registration fees,
(iii) course-required books,
(iv) necessary travel expenses (minus travel expenses normally incurred by the employee travelling between home and the place of work),
(v) necessary subsistence expenses, and/or
(vi) other legitimate expenses approved by the Employer.
(g) In the event that an employee on training receives outside support, such as a scholarship, fellowship, bursary or any other type of assistance, the total of outside support plus Employer support shall not exceed:
(i) the employee's basic salary for the period of training, where leave of absence with pay or with partial pay is involved; and/or
(ii) the actual cost of the training, where the Employer pays the full cost or shares part of the cost. Any amount in excess of such combined support shall be refunded to the Employer through deduction of the employee's salary either during or after...
Professional Training. Provider and all employees or agents rendering services to Members shall possess and maintain the training and ability and other qualifications necessary to provide quality care to Members. Avesis will review the status of the Provider following notification of any action by the State Board of Dentistry.
Professional Training. A. Meetings, conferences, symposiums and seminars at which concerns vital to the profession are the subject of discussions are recognized by the District as an inherent part of the employee's professional obligation

Professional Training. 9-1 1 Teachers requested by the District to attend overnight workshops, conferences, activities or training classes outside the District shall be compensated for expenses at the District per diem rate, unless other arrangements have been agreed to by both parties. Teachers who request to be allowed to attend above programs may be compensated by the District.
Professional Training. The City will see that all members of the Police Division receive professional training instruction on topics related to law enforcement. Training will be scheduled during a regular shift, most often once a month. The training sessions shall normally be for no more than a five- hour block of training and the department shall attempt to assure that officers shall be scheduled for a minimum of sixty hours of training for each calendar year. Members scheduled for training shall not be pulled from training to work patrol unless there is an emergency that exists that would justify the cancellation of training to take care of the emergency. Employees shall attempt to schedule their personal time off to make sure that they are available for the scheduled training sessions. Officers are willing to adjust their normal shift hours to accommodate these prescheduled training sessions, but not to split their shifts. This training shall not include S.O.G. Training or K-9 Training in the number of hours of professional training. The normal training day shall be the overlap Wednesday. The Chief of Police can vary from the above when it becomes necessary to provide additional training. All training will be done in accordance with guidelines set down by this Agreement. In December of each calendar year, the Chief of Police shall meet with the Employees Relations Committee to discuss annual training issues. Section 33.3. K-9 and S.O.G. Training For the purpose of continual training for the K-9 officers and their respective dogs, the officers and dogs will be entitled to one shift every other week for K-9 training. The Special Operations Group will be entitled to one (1) training shift per month. The training day may vary from week to week, month to month and will be determined by the Chief, one week in advance. The training day may be deleted in an emergency, and training hours shall not coincide with training hours scheduled in Section 33.1 or 33.2.
Professional Training. It is the employee’s duty to attend all the necessary training with professional diligence. Employees may be required to undertake self-learning and e-learning modules as part of their professional development. However, it will be the employees’ own responsibility to stay current in their own time (with a maximum of 2 days per year).
Professional Training. The Contractor shall have completed postgraduate residency in neurology after graduation from medical school.
Professional Training easyJet will provide the employee with all the training required throughout the length of the employment contract as required by the relevant civil aviation authorities to maintain the privileges of their licence as necessary to perform duties on an easyJet aircraft.
Professional Training. Staff Development opportunities shall be provided so that all Employees may gain new skills in their job-related categories. Institute Days during the school year will include specific training for Paraprofessionals. In addition, Paraprofessionals will attend one day of training prior to the start of the school year. Office Professionals shall be permitted and encouraged to attend secretarial meetings and conferences which are related to their responsibilities, with administrative approval, and with reasonable expenses reimbursed.

(c) The Commission agrees to consult with the Association to determine where professional training programs may be inadequate or inappropriate.
(d) Where the Commission requires an employee to attend a training program, or where the employee’s professional licensing body requires an employee to complete educational initiatives to maintain their license to practice, the Commission shall bear the full cost of the employee's training, and where the program entails leave of absence, such leave of absence shall be with pay.
(e) Where an employee requests to attend a training program which is not required by the Commission, the Commission may grant to the employee leave of absence, where necessary, with pay or partial pay or without pay, and/or choose to defray a portion of the cost of the employee's training.
