Purpose of this Article. ‌ This Article describes the parties’ agreement on matters within the scope of representation related to work schedules, work hours, and overtime. Hours specified under types of employment indicate a commitment by the County to minimum and maximum hours each employee is to be regularly scheduled, as long as there is sufficient work.

Purpose of this Article. The sole purpose of this Article is to provide a basis for the computation of straight time, overtime and fringe benefits, and nothing contained in this Agreement shall be construed as a guarantee or commitment by the Company to any employee of a minimum or maximum number of hours of work per day, per week or per year. It is expressly agreed and understood by the Parties that such scheduling and personnel needs shall be the sole prerogative of the Company. An employee who works an average of 32 hours per week shall be considered a full-time employee for the purposes of this Agreement.
