Rate constants and thermodynamics Sample Clauses

Rate constants and thermodynamics. In this section we describe the theory behind and the practical use of the script RMC_rate, which uses the data extracted as outlined above, to calculate the rate constants and thermodynamics of the processes that have been studied. So far only processes at solid surfaces can be treated (see Section 2.3.1). A number of output files are created including rate and thermodynamics data. In particular, the rate constants are fitted to Arrhenius-type expressions giving an analytic expression for their temperature dependence. These are written to CHEMKIN-II and SURFACE CHEMKIN input files, which can be directly used with various kinetics modeling codes, such as for instance SURFACE CHEMKIN, Cantera or DETCHEM. Note that so far only the kinetics parameters are fitted to a functional form. Thermodynamic parameters are not fitted to the calculated thermodynamics and written in CHEMKIN format. This might be a future addition to RMC_rate. The calculations of thermodynamics and rate constants are nearly completely automatic with only limited interaction needed with the user.

  • PRE-CONSTRUCTION PHASE SERVICES The Pre-Construction Phase shall be deemed to commence upon the date specified in a written Notice to Proceed with Pre-Construction Phase Services issued by Owner and shall continue through completion of the Construction Documents and procurement of all major Subcontractor agreements. Contractor is not entitled to reimbursement for any costs incurred for Pre-Construction Phase Services performed before issuance of the written Notice to Proceed. Pre-Construction Phase Services may overlap Construction Phase Services. Contractor shall perform the following Pre-Construction Phase Services:

  • Contract Construction 6.27.1 The parties acknowledge that each party and its counsel have reviewed this CONTRACT and that the normal rule of construction to the effect that any ambiguities are to be resolved against the drafting party shall not be employed in the interpretation of this CONTRACT or any amendment or exhibits hereto.

  • Other Methods of Procurement of Goods and Works The following table specifies the methods of procurement, other than International Competitive Bidding, which may be used for goods and works. The Procurement Plan shall specify the circumstances under which such methods may be used: Procurement Method

  • Construction Phase - Administration of the Construction Contract 1.6.1 The Construction Phase shall commence with the acceptance of the Construction Manager’s Guaranteed Maximum Price (or acceptance of a partial Guaranteed Maximum Price for a stage or phase) and issuance of a Notice to Proceed with Construction Services and terminate sixty (60) days after Final Payment to the Contractor is made, or when all of Architect/Engineer’s services have been satisfactorily performed, whichever occurs later.

  • During Construction Upon request of the Owner the Contractor shall submit written proposals for unit prices to be applied in the event Change Order Work is authorized by the Owner to be performed under Case (b).
