Temporary Transfer Where an employee is assigned temporarily to perform the duties and assume the responsibilities of a higher paying position in the bargaining unit, he shall be paid the rate in the higher salary range immediately above his current rate for all hours worked in the higher paying position. Where a Hospital temporarily assigns an employee to carry out the assigned responsibilities of a classification outside the bargaining unit, the employee shall receive an allowance of $4.00 for each shift from the time of the assignment.
Pay During Temporary Transfers When an employee temporarily relieves in or performs the principal duties of a higher paying position she shall receive the rate for the job. When an employee is temporarily assigned to a lower paying position than her own, her rate shall not be reduced.

Rate of Pay on Appointment from Layoff List When an individual is appointed from a layoff list to a position in the same class in which the person was previously employed, the person shall be paid at the same salary step at which such employee was being paid at the time of layoff.
Rate of Payment F9.16 While an employee is on a period of purchased leave the employee will be paid at the rate of pay used to calculate the employee’s deduction.
Regular Rate of Pay The regular rate of pay for each position in the bargaining unit shall be in accordance with the rates established for each class provided for in Appendix B. The regular rate of pay shall include any longevity increment required to be paid under this Agreement.
Temporary Certificate of Registration Rate An employee holding a Temporary Certificate of Registration upon presenting proof of current Certificate of Competence by the College of Nurses of Ontario shall be given the salary of the registered staff nurse as provided in this Article retroactive to the date of sitting the certification examination or the date of last hire, whichever is later.
Time Off in Lieu of Payment for Overtime An employee may elect, with the consent of the Company, to take time off in lieu of payment of overtime at a time or times agreed with the Company. Overtime taken as time off during ordinary time hours will be taken at the ordinary time rate, that is an hour for each hour worked.
Rate of Pay on Promotion 44.3.1 When an employee is appointed by the Council to a higher classification level in the same group, he shall be paid at the nearest rate in the new classification level which gives the employee a salary increase not less than the minimum increment of the higher classification level to which he is being appointed by the Council. If there is no such rate the employee shall be paid the maximum rate in his new scale.
Rate of Pay a. An Employee who is employed as a teacher teaching on call shall be paid 1/189 of his/her category classification and experience, to a maximum of the rate at Category 5 Step 7, for each full day worked.
