Rate of Pay on Promotion. 44.3.1 When an employee is appointed by the Council to a higher classification level in the same group, he shall be paid at the nearest rate in the new classification level which gives the employee a salary increase not less than the minimum increment of the higher classification level to which he is being appointed by the Council. If there is no such rate the employee shall be paid the maximum rate in his new scale.
44.3.2 Where an employee who is being paid Acting Pay is promoted to the position for which the employee is receiving Acting Pay, he shall be paid in that position at the rate at which the employee was being paid Acting Pay and the employee's first pay increment in that position shall become due on the date on which it would have become due as if the employee had been promoted to that position on the date on which he was most recently authorized to receive Acting Pay in that position.
Rate of Pay on Promotion. When an employee is promoted, consistent with Article 14, to another classification and such promotion would not otherwise result in any increase in salary at the time, such an employee shall be placed in an increment step in his new classification which will provide an immediate increase over his previous salary rate. The date of promotion to the new classification shall become the anniversary date for application of the salary progression.
Rate of Pay on Promotion. Except as provided below, a regular employee who is promoted to a position in a class having a higher pay range shall receive the entry rate of pay for the higher class or such higher amount as would constitute an increase of approximately five percent (5%) on the range over the rate of pay received prior to promotion, whichever is greater.
Rate of Pay on Promotion. Rate of Pay on Promotion. An employee appointed to a classification level having a maximum greater than the maximum of his/her former classification level shall be paid in the new classification level at the rate of pay, nearest to the rate he/she was receiving immediately before the appointment, that gives an increase in pay of not less than the smallest pay increment for the new classification level. If there is no such rate, the employee shall be paid the maximum rate in the new scale.
Rate of Pay on Promotion. (a) Upon promotion to a higher job classification, an employee's salary rate will be the step in the higher job classification which represents the nearest to eight percent increase in salary from her own job. Progression from step to step in the new job classification will be in accordance with the normal progression for the job classification as outlined in Appendix I and will be calculated from the effective date of the promotion.
(b) Where an employee performs a term greater than six months, and then serves another term in the same position with a break of less than three months, then the time worked shall be considered cumulative towards calculation of increment.
Rate of Pay on Promotion. Employees to whom Schedule 1 (Supervisory) of the pay schedules apply shall, on promotion to a higher classification level in the sub-group, be paid at the rate of pay for the higher level.
Rate of Pay on Promotion. (a) Upon promotion, an employee will receive the rate for the position as established in Appendix A of this Agreement.
(b) A red-circled employee who is transferred into a position by promotion or lateral transfer under Article 11 (Career Development & Job Postings) shall not suffer a reduction of pay rate by application of Clause 24.1.
Rate of Pay on Promotion. Where an employee is promoted to a higher classification, she shall be paid at the rate of pay in the new classification.
Rate of Pay on Promotion. If an employee is offered and accepts a job promotion (temporary or permanent), the employee's rate of pay shall be adjusted to the next closest higher step of the new salary band (grid). If the next closest rate of the new salary band (grid) does not represent an overall increase of at least 2.5 %, the incumbent’s rate of pay shall be moved to the next highest step. In the case of an employee who has previously held the same position and moved though the step progression, she shall be placed at the step of the job classification that she had previously attained on the salary band (grid) for that position. This article does not apply to grant positions.
