Ratification and Entry into Force. 1. This Agreement is subject to ratification.

This Agreement shall enter into force on the first day of the third month following the month in which notes are exchanged by the Contracting States through the diplomatic channel notifying each other that all matters as are necessary for the entry into force of this Agreement have been finalised.

Nevertheless, the prior Treaty shall apply to any extradition proceedings in which the extradition documents have already been submitted to the courts of the Requested State at the time this Treaty enters into force, except that Article 15 of this Treaty 2 Feb. 23, 2000. shall be applicable to such proceedings. Article 14 of this Treaty shall apply to persons found extraditable under the prior Treaty.
