Common use of Re-employment Following Active Military Service Clause in Contracts

Re-employment Following Active Military Service. Employees who leave the employment of the Employer to enter active military service in any branch of the Armed Forces of the United States or the National Guard shall be entitled to reemployment rights in accordance with the Federal and State statutes governing such reemployment rights in effect at the time the individual seeks reemployment with the Employer. Notice of intent to enter into such active service and the scheduled date of departure shall be given to the Employer in writing as soon as the employee is notified of acceptance and departure dates. Individuals reemployed in accordance with such Federal and State statutes shall be entitled to the benefits set forth in this Agreement, provided they satisfy the eligibility requirements established under this Agreement.
